Adam Westwood, Head of Physics, outlines the details about Friday’s Solar Eclipse, which the UK should be able to see at 86%. Let’s hope it’s not cloudy as the next one isn’t until 2090!

The school is gearing up for what will hopefully be a scientific spectacle! The Solar Eclipse on Friday the 20th will be a fantastic sight and something the students will remember for the rest of their lives. So lets all pray for a clear day as there won’t be another eclipse in the UK like this one will September 2090. Please remember not to look directly at the sun; useful tips on how to be safe can be found on this website.
