The power of collaborative learning

Skype in the Classroom with Flora Richards

The Year 11 Religious Studies students at Queens College in the Bahamas were looking for some help with their Judaism coursework, so their teacher Megan Homewood (a university friend of mine) asked if I might be able to help out and do a Question and Answer session.

We carefully planned the session by email and organised our first Skype in the Classroom for an early evening UK time, late afternoon for the Bahamians.

The students were polite, enthusiastic and well prepared! I hope their understanding of Judaism, and the coursework is enhanced by the session.
