Lots of teachers are now taking to social networks like Twitter to access a current & dynamic source of bespoke professional development. It has become more and more popular by the day with teachers from around the world joining learning communities and personal learning networks, using technology to push aside the historical physical barriers that used to limit such activities.

Twitter is free, current, enables you to chat with the creator of the resource and is available on your terms, when you want it. Having access to subject specialists, school leaders and general good folk who are happy to share their success and resources for free. Teachers who use Twitter say it’s the best CPD they’ve ever had. Imagine asking for advice on a subject matter, or asking for a fresh perspective on a lesson plan that’s got a bit boring and then getting responses in minutes from teachers from across the globe…….responses that make your lesson so much the better the next day!
