Plans for Aldenham School’s First Teach Meet are going well. Huge thanks to Paula at the Teaching Schools Alliance who designed our beautiful poster – if you haven’t already please can you download it and put it up in your staffrooms.

For a reminder about what a TeachMeet is, read this post. In addition to staff from Aldenham Senior and Prep schools and our colleagues at St Hilda’s Girls Prep School and Nursery, teachers attending our Teach Meet so far come from a range of local schools including Bentley Wood, The Reach Free School, Parmiter’s School, Roundwood Park School, Merchant Taylor’s School, Sandringham School, Royal Masonic School for Girls. We’re delighted to welcome some colleagues from slightly further afield too, including from City of London, Grieg City Academy and Harris Academy Upper Norwood.

Teachers are signed up to present on such diverse topics as:

  • Marking tips and tricks for busy teachers with Vanessa Evagora
  • The Value of Silence with Durga Mata Chaudhuri
  • #WhyTwitterWorks with Lee Flindall
  • Using film to develop Critical thinking skills with Flora Richards
  • School Inspection in Ghana with Andy Williams
  • Enhancing Great Teaching and Learning using the Cyclical Lesson Study Approach with Debbie Ferrer
  • From English teacher to Bestselling Author with Alison Leigh
  • The Ugly Truth Revisited, the Truth about Marking, Monitoring and Progress by Ross Morrison McGill @teachertoolkit
  • We still have slots available, if you would you have an idea, practice or project you would like to share. Choose from either a 3 minute or 5 minute presentations.

We’re delighted to announce our sponsors so far for the event are:

The Sticker Factory (thank you Ruth!) will be providing every delegate who attends with a bumper pack of lovely stickers, including (I kid you not!) chocolate scratch and sniff stickers!

There’s also a prize draw which includes the chance to win:
